This Course, is aligned with Scientific & Technical Education Development Council (STED Council), an autonomous body recognized by the Government of India. The certificates can be attested by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, and by the embassies of most countries.
The Diploma in Caregiving (DipC) course is designed to train individuals to become qualified healthcare professionals dedicated to providing care and assistance. Upon completion, graduates will be equipped with the fundamental knowledge and hands-on experience required to confidently and competently assist individuals in various care settings. The Course also aims to prepare graduates for successful careers as caregivers, both locally and internationally.
DipCs typically work in various settings such as hospitals, home care, care homes, and old age homes, supporting patients who may have diverse medical conditions. Internationally, similar roles are known as Elderly Care Attendants, Geriatric Nursing Aides, or Patient Care Assistants.
Objectives of the Diploma in Caregiving
The main objective of the Diploma in Caregiving (DipC) program is to develop a skilled workforce capable of providing effective care for those needing care, elderly individuals across the healthcare spectrum. This program aims to prepare professionals to support and assist other healthcare providers as well as focus on care delivery in home care, care homes, old age homes (including assisted living facilities), rehabilitation institutions, and hospitals.

Prerequisites:
- Min 10th Pass, with ability to read English
- Police Clearance Certificate applied
- Medical Clearance
The Diploma in Caregiving course offers a holistic learning experience encompassing both theoretical knowledge and practical skills. The course delivery includes interactive lectures led by experienced care professionals, like Senior nurses, Doctors, Physiotherapist, councillors etc. The course includes practical hands-on training through simulated scenarios, case studies to apply knowledge, quizzes and assessments to reinforce learning, discussion forums for sharing experiences, and comprehensive learning resources.
The course will require the candidates to mandatory attend the following :
- 17 day in class attendance covering various subjects of caregiving including :
- Communication and Soft Skills
- Fundamentals of Personal Care and Hygiene
- Medication Management
- Nutrition and Meal Planning
- Rights of patients and Caregivers
- Basic Computer Knowledge
- Infection Control Practices
- Wound and Bed Sore Management and Prevention
- Candidate will then need to pass a written and practical examination before they can be placed for On-the-job training.
- Mandatory 1,120 hours of On-the-job training with a Home care or Care home organisation.
- 6 days in class attendance covering various advanced and discussion on learnings and corrective training followed by a final exam.
